Calling All Artists! MULTIPLICITY/Hang It Up 2011- Holiday Group Show

CALLING ALL ARTISTS- Be part of our annual Holiday Group Show!

A Winter Group Show About Series
November 11 - January 5

OPENING RECEPTION | Friday, November 11, 6-9pm

We believe in strength in numbers: parts to whole, discrete relations, series and sequence. Artists have forever used the notion of series to explore a direction, thought, or impulse. Gallery One One at Brazee Street Studios presents MULTIPLICITY; an annual group exhibition of art, design, and craft based on the notion of MULTIPLES. We are looking for small artworks, functional and non-functional objects of all kinds created in multiples. Think limited editions. Tap into your inner OCD and contribute in abundance to this over-the-top winter (way more exciting than your typical holiday) art show.

Hang It Up
In conjunction with MULTIPLICITY, the gallery will feature Hang It Up, a room devoted entirely to ornaments. Make and sell your one-of-a-kind ornaments in this special section of our winter art show. All mediums encouraged, artwork must be ornament-like in some way (just make it hang). Again, we want editions, multiples, and series in ornament form. Make the line of ornaments you always wanted, apply, and Hang It Up at gallery One One.

Jennifer Halvorson | gallery One One

Join us Friday, September 9 from 6–9pm at the Opening Reception of Bittersweet by Jennifer Halvorson.

Inspired by Jennifer's manipulation of household objects into vessels for memory, we will be canning your past moments, $5 a can. Bring in objects close to you or of your past, and we will seal it in an aluminum can. Make a time capsule, preserve a love note, can a baby shoe, or hide a gift.

We will also be collecting donations for the Freestore Foodbank in OTR. Bring a nonperishable food item and you will receive $1 off your canned memory.
