Fused Glass Jewelry with the Sarah Center



Last night a group of women from the Sarah Center visited to create original fused glass jewelry. Their beautiful work will be for sale at our next OPEN STUDIOS, Friday, June 10 from 6-9pm. Support these women and leave with a beautiful new necklace!

Brazee Street School of Glass is thrilled to welcome internationally recognized bead maker, Heather Trimlett, as guest instructor. Do not miss your chance to study with Heather!

Heather is here to share her secrets and the magic in her designs. Secrets that include: making the ends of your twist match perfectly, clear casing your beads into elegant orbs and applying glass on a large mandrel while maintaining a smooth bead hole. Heather will teach you the tricks to being more precise with your beadmaking. One of the best parts of this class will be the amazing pinks and purples in the Bullseye Glass we will be using!

Join us for this in-depth introduction to Metalsmithing. We are very excited to have Karen Trimble Shell bring 38 years of metalsmithing experience to teach at Brazee Street Studios SOG. Each student will learn techniques including sawing, drilling, filing, and soldering sterling silver, culminating in the creation of their own bezel settings for their original fused glass cabochons. This is a two-day workshop, Thursday evening and Saturday.

WHO gallery One One invites artists, designers, and craftsmen of all kinds to participate in this summer call-for-entry.

WHAT hue:YELLOW will be a shop-like exhibition with functional and non-functional items alike. The idea is to let YELLOW inspire you to create, riff, extend, embellish what you are already creating or to inspire something new, yellow ,and delicious. Combined, we will create an immersive exhibition- alive in YELLOW. Artwork and objects can be entirely yellow, partially yellow, dark yellow, gold, blond, speckled yellow, etc. Think inspired by yellow. Think yellow effect. Think yellow all the way to absurdity.

CCM Performance at Brazee- Open Studios, Friday, May 13!

The University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music Preparatory Theatre Department will be live at Brazee Street Studios at 7:30 and 8:30 with two half-hour performances which are sure to entrance and move the audience. Students will be acting with partners and as an ensemble in these short plays which will demonstrate exquisite character development and talent. Don't miss this wonderful opportunity to see what has been prepared for the occasion!
