I can finally sleep. A big day of FIRSTS.
The Glass Canopy project has been an amazing experience and was filled with FIRSTS. This is the first time I worked with Artworks, the first time working with high schoolers. I was very impressed by both. This is also the first time I have done a public art piece. And it was also the first time to be a part of the Ronald McDonald House. What a loving and exceptional place! It was a thrill and an honor. Thank you and Goodnight.
GLASS CANOPY IS INSTALLED!
Wow- 9 hours, 12 hands, lots of wonderful energy and the Glass Canopy is alive. I cannot thank Chris Daniel, Beth Kreimer, Allyson Knue, Morgan Evans, and Sam McHugh enough. You were a great team and WE DID IT!

Carlisle Tool Shop
I recently went to Millville New Jersey to help a friend who was teaching at Carlisle School of Glass Art- located at the Carlisle machine company- home of the famous Carlisle CC glass torches. What a cool space. They are a 5th generation glass/ machinery company that is still run by the family. Go to the website- fascinating and some great folks on top of that. We got a tour of the machine shop. AMAZING - hundred year old lathes, presses and some of the most amazing tools I have ever seen. I was especially fixated on these collets. Perhaps some would say obsessed...

Sam is back! Thank you Sam!
In anticipation of the installation of the ArtWorks Glass Canopy at the Ronald McDonald House, Sam has been doing some last minute grinding. Stay tuned for the opening at the end of September.
